Renewable energy. Enlight’s team, has combined 10+ years of experience in off grid solar distribution in East Africa, and has been running solar trainings across Uganda since 2018.
With funding from Signify Foundation, we have trained over 200 rural youth as solar technicians and sales agents and executed a consultancy to design curricula for Uganda's National Solar Technician Certification Standards.
Our model has the potential to create pathways for women currently enrolled in livelihood development programs to enter the solar industry, especially given the growing interest within the solar industry in crafting a more gender balanced workforce.
