Enlight Institute hosts the world coaches training program

The World Coaches Program was recently launched in Uganda by Enlight Educational Institutions in collaboration with the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB), Signify Foundation, and Golden Boots. The event was hosted at Enlight Vocational Institute Matugga (EVI) inducting 50 football coaches from across the country into the World Coaches fraternity.
The two-month training program, which began on February 28th and ended on April 28th, 2022, focused on the five core roles of a World Coach:

  • Community Organizer,
  • Football Coach,
  • Life Skill Coach,
  • Role Model,
  • Role Model
  • and Continuous Learner

The training was based on KNVB’s extensive international coaching and training experience. Following this training, the 50 coaches are expected to inspire and coach children in their athletic and social development using football as a tool for social impact and change in their communities.
A delegation of business investors from the Netherlands, the Dutch ambassador, and other delegates were present to celebrate the 1st graduation of world coaches in Uganda on April 22nd, 2022.
By the end of the training, Enlight was thanked for being a caring and attentive host by many of her esteemed guests, but most importantly, the catering team was praised by all for the delicious meals and treats that they prepared at the school kitchen and served throughout the training period.
