Enlight Academy: Rural Solar Trainings
In April 2018 we launched our solar technician and sales trainings with national certification and job placement support. Thus far we have held trainings in Mbale, Mbarara, Kampala and Kasese, with over 50 graduates so far.
National Certification Standards: Directorate of Industrial Training
Developed the training and certification curriculum to be used by Uganda's Directorate of Industrial Training for national certification of pico solar technicians through GIZ-funded consultancy. As part of this, Enlight ran a series of stakeholder workshops that brought together over 20 organizations across the Ugandan solar sector.

Co-Founder and former VP at Village Energy, an Ugandan last mile solar distributer. 5 years at Google in advertising sales, operations and marketing. 2017 Acumen East Africa Fellow and 2018 Comcast NBCUniversal Leadership Awardee. BA in Economics and Political Science from UPenn.
Co-Founder & Executive Director (Uganda)
Former Director of Training at Village Energy in Uganda. Education specialist with prior experience with United Nations Development Programme and various education NGOs in curriculum development, training logistics, and impact assessment. MA in International Affairs from Columbia University (SIPA).
Lead Technical Trainer
Former secondary physics and math teacher, with expertise in off-grid and mini-grid solar systems. BsC in Education and pending MsC in Physic from Makerere University with research in solar.
Lead Business Trainer
12 years experience in customer service, business management, training/coaching, operations and marketing. 3 years at Qatar Airways in Doha, where he developed and delivered customer service trainings for over 300 staff members. BsC in Computer Science from Makerere University.
Former junior consultant at Challenges Worldwide and researcher with USAID / Sustainable Outcome for Children and Youth (SOCY) project. Also supervised loan portfolio audits at UGAFODE Microfinance – Uganda. BA in Social Sciences from Makerere University.
