Now Hiring: CEO / Director, Enlight Uganda

September 1st, 2020

Enlight Uganda is searching for a dynamic new CEO / Director to take over from Enlight’s co-founders to run the team and drive forward the vision of developing human capital in Uganda, with an impact focus on girls and women in the clean energy sector.

Who We Are

Founded in 2018, Enlight Institute (Uganda) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Enlight Institute (USA), a US-registered for-profit social enterprise. Enlight Uganda is focused on solving the last-mile human capital challenges of clean energy companies in Uganda to accelerate clean energy adoption and increase rural youth employment. Currently, our main services are solar technical and sales trainings and on-the-job coaching of youth in key employability skills and behaviors. Over the last 2 years we have trained almost 200 Ugandan youth in solar technical, sales and soft skills and have partnered with major aid agencies, multinational companies, local solar distributors, vocational schools, and government agencies.

We’re a young, hardworking team based in Kampala that values growth mindset and creativity. We take a human centered approach to designing our services, are champions of inclusivity, and are obsessive about designing life changing services that promote youth employability in a sustainable way.  As the Co-Founders of Enlight switch to a more strategic role and transition out of living in Uganda full time, we are looking for a new Country Director with strong leadership skills to run the organization in Uganda moving forward.
